How to Prepare REACH Dossiers by the 2027 Deadline: A Roadmap

Short answer: REACH has no registration deadline for companies in 2027. The last registration deadline was 31 May 2018. 2027 is ECHA’s own target: by then it plans to have screened every registration in the 1–100 tonnes-per-year band. To prepare, bring existing dossiers up to date before ECHA reaches them, and plan for five real dates between now and mid-2027: 1 November 2026 (CLP), 31 December 2026 (Türkiye KKDİK), the IUCLID 6 v10 format, 5 February 2027 (SME verification) and the end of Chesar 3 support around mid-2027.

How to Use IUCLID 5 Files for a KKDİK Registration in KKS

An IUCLID 5 file (.i5z or .i5a) cannot be used for a KKDİK registration as it is. Türkiye’s registration system KKS is aligned to IUCLID 6, so the file has to be converted to an IUCLID 6 .i6z before your Kimyasal Değerlendirme Uzmanı (KDU) can take the data into KKS. ECHA never released a standalone converter for this. We convert IUCLID 5 files with the real IUCLID 5 and IUCLID 6 software, free of charge. The next KKDİK deadline is 31 December 2026, for substances at or above 1,000 tonnes a year.
